Destiny John Mbugadu, a player from Zenith Emperor, expressed his disappointment as Zenith Emperor faced a devastating defeat against First Bank FC in their recent Nationwide League One match, with a staggering scoreline of 12-1.

“We didn’t expect losing. We did not come to play a match expecting to lose,” Mbugadu shared with Sports 247.
“No team will come into a match expecting to lose. We came here to fight for our space on the team. But in the end, it’s not the result we wanted.
We’re hoping that in the next game, we’ll step up and do our best.”
Mbugadu also shed light on the challenges the team faced before the match, explaining how they waited for almost two hours for their bus to be repaired, leaving them with no time for proper warm-up.
This unforeseen setback likely contributed to their defeat, according to Mbugadu.
Despite the disappointing outcome, Mbugadu remained optimistic about the team’s future performances.
“We’ll try our best and get a win in our next game,” he stated. “I think there are only three matches to go. We’ll try our best, we’ll do our best and get the result.”
The defeat serves as a setback for Zenith Emperor, but they remain determined to bounce back stronger in their upcoming matches.
With resilience and determination, they aim to turn the tide and secure better results in the remainder of the Nationwide League One season.
