Head coach of Magate Football Club, Farouk Yusuf has reacted following their goalless draw with TradeSafe Sports on Wednesday afternoon in the ongoing nationwide league one, NLO.
Magate drew 0-0 with group leader, TradeSafe Sports in a match watched by the appreciable crowd at the Alade sports center, Ipaja Command, Alimosho, Lagos.
Yusuf in a chat with sports247.ng after the match said he was happy that he did not lose the game.
“I came here to win my opponents but unfortunately it ended in a stalemate. I am not too happy because I want to revenge defeat we suffered against them when we first met. By and large, it was a good match for both of us,” he said.
Commenting on his team’s performance, Yusuf said his players did well unfortunately they failed to convert their chances.
TradeSafe Sports coach, Ademola Adeshina said both teams played purposeful football but sad that his players failed to grab three points at stake.
“Playing draw was not a bad result. Magate were a good side. They played a good football. I must commend my boys too for their fighting spirits unfortunately we could not find the back of the net,” he concluded.
