Head coach of First Bank Football Club, Gafari Mohammed has sounded loud and clear that his team are in Nationwide League, (NLO) to give their opponents in the group B1 a serious tough time when the league kicks off on 3 May, 2023.
First Bank would begin their NLO week one campaign against Real Sapphire FC at Admiralty stadium, Navytown, Festac, Lagos.
Mohammed in a chat with sports 247.ng recently said First Bank are fully prepared for the league and warned their opponents in the group to prepare for a serious battle.
Since he had appointed as a Chief coach of the club, Mohammed has not lost a competitive First Bank friendly matches expect Lagos FA Cup match.
Mohammed revealed that his boys are in best form of their lives to face any team in their group.
“This is a new improved First Bank under my watch. Let me say this to our fans that we are in NLO to give all the teams a run for their money and also ensure that First Bank do well in the league. We are not in NLO for jamboree rather to hit our target at the end of the season,” he said.
Mohammed said the players are well motivated by the management and ready to give their best in the league. He however thanked the team’s management for their support and promised to take the club to the next level.
