The Citizens as Olumo United are fondly called intensifies its bid to pick a promotion ticket after the 2020/2021 NLO Zonal league matches with its victory over Imperial FC, Saturday evening at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti.
The 2-1 win against Imperial FC, gave the Citizens seven points from three matches played so far. Mercurial midfielder Nwaogwu Emmanuel scored a goal and provided an assist for Ayomide to take a 2-0 lead into the break.
Imperial, however, came back into the game stronger in the second stanza and eventually got a goal. But it only made the citizens more resolute as they remained compact and stoical to take away all three points.
President of Olumo United, Segun Solanke who was obviously happy with the win, said his team are taking the games one at a time.
” We are on a mission. We take it one step at a time. Our desire is to get a promotion at this first attempt and my boys are determined for us to achieve our objectives,” Solanke enthused.
