Buruj FC, without a win in three, suffered yet another loss, this time to runaway league leaders, Destiny Boys FC of Ikorodu, Lagos. Buruj FC put out what was their best display so far condemning them to a lone goal loss and the coach has explained that the boys did well.
“The boys played to instructions and tried to listen to the coaches. I told them before the game that this match is like a final and we’ve not won any game. They wanted to play and they played to instructions,” Ishola said.
Four games without a win and now bottom of the group table, coach of Buruj FC spoke to Sports247 on how he has managed the pressure of not winning. “Actually I’m not facing any pressure. This is our first outing and to me, the boys have done well. It’s not easy, we tried to prepare but we have been unlucky in our games,” he said.
“Football is all about promotion and relegation and any situation you find yourself in as a coach, you have to adapt to it. You can’t go on to the pitch to play the game for the players, you just have to instruct them on what to do like you saw in the game today,” he added.
