“I want to say a big thank you to everyone who came to watch this match. It was a good game, we played well but lost a lot of chances which made us lose the game but we’re going to train more, fight back and regain our position in the league,” were the first words of Iganmu FC attacker, Lawrence David to Sports247.
Iganmu FC lost unexpectedly 3-2 to Zenith Emperor FC in their second game of the Nationwide League One. The loss is the first in the league, coming on the back of their matchday one victory over Buruj FC which means the team now has three out of six points in their quest to gain promotion to the NNL.
“I have to apologise to the fans. I promise them that input upcoming games we’re going to give them victory and nothing short of that,” Lawrence said as he hopes to get the fans back of their side and focus on their next game which is against Magate FC.
