Messiah Football Club have returned to winning ways after defeating Zenith Emperor 3-1 in the Nationwide League One, NLO.
The victory Messiah got yesterday at their home ground,Alade sports center, Ipaja Command was a relieved for the fans of the club.
Messiah who crashed out in the round of 16 of WGB Lagos FA Cup started the game with high intensity as Adewale Adegoke drew the first blood in the 17th minutes.
Messiah were better than their opponents in the encounter as Adegoke and Deji Alo scored each goal to condemn their opponents to defeat.
Although Zenith Emperor tried to redice the tally as Ogunleye Daniel found the back of the net before center refree signalled for the half time.
The second half was dominated by Messiah boys.They created many scoring chances but failed to convert any of them.With this victory, Messiah have 10 points on the table and their next away match is against Synergy FC.
Reacting to the victory, Messiah coach, Tunde olayinka boasted that his team are back on their winning ways .He promised that his team would do well in their remaining matches.
“It has been a long time we have won our matches and I am happy that we have come back to our winning ways.We need to work hard to win our remaining matches,”he said.
