“They gave us a tough match, to be sincere,” Mohamed admitted in a post-match interview with Sports 247.

“Before we got the first goal, it was tough. We had to keep pushing and keep pushing until the first goal came in.”

Reflecting on their expectations for the match, Mohamed emphasized the unpredictable nature of football. “No match is easy,” he remarked.

“We take every match as it comes. We expected it to be tough, but not as tough as this. We say thank God that we came out with a victory.”

With First Bank being regarded as one of the most formidable teams in their group, Mohamed acknowledged the challenge of maintaining their winning streak.

When asked about potential tough opponents in their remaining matches, Mohamed singled out Real Sapphire as a team to watch out for.

“They are winning all their matches too, so I think that would be a tough match and an interesting one,” he noted.

As captain, Mohamed emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and taking each game seriously.

“We take one game at a time,” he affirmed. “When it gets to that bridge, the bridge of Real Sapphire, we’ll cross it. But we take each game as it comes right now. And we will keep winning.”

Mohamed’s remarks underscored First Bank FC’s commitment to staying grounded, respecting their opponents, and striving for continued success in the Nationwide League One tournament.
