NLO Match Day 8: “We Played Well” – Captain Ekele Emmanuel on Mavlon FC’s Loss to AS Racines

After Mavlon FC’s 2-1 defeat against AS Racines in the Nationwide League One, team captain Ekele Emmanuel shared his thoughts on the game.

Despite the loss, Emmanuel commended his team’s performance while expressing his determination to bounce back stronger in future matches in Post-match interview with sports247.

“The game was quite good,” Emmanuel began. “We played our best, but I wouldn’t say it wasn’t enough. But in every game, there must be a loser and a winner. We lost today, but we played well.”

Emmanuel praised his teammates for their efforts and assured them that they would learn from their mistakes to improve in upcoming matches. “Kudos to the team. But we are not able to achieve the victory,” he said. “Next time, I believe we’ll come back better. We’ll go to our training, we’ll correct some mistakes that we did, like being clinical at the goal mouth and the rest, and then we will come back stronger next time.”

When asked about their next opponent, Emmanuel expressed confidence in their ability to secure a win, regardless of the opposition. “Whoever it is, I believe we are going to win,” he affirmed. “What is it? I don’t know, for sure.”

Looking ahead, Emmanuel assured fans that Mavlon FC would showcase an even better performance in their next match. “Whatever you see today, you’ll see much better in our next game,” he declared. “We’ll go back to the board and then correct some little things. The techniques are not bad, but just that the goals are not coming. If not, the techniques and everything were quite good.”

Reflecting on the team’s progress throughout the league, Emmanuel acknowledged improvements in their gameplay while emphasizing the need to convert scoring opportunities more effectively. “Yeah, we played a little bit better,” he acknowledged. “Just that the goals were not coming, but we will try and be more clinical at the goal mouth. Work more at converting our chances.”

Emmanuel’s words reflect Mavlon FC’s resilience and determination to overcome setbacks and emerge stronger in their pursuit of success in the Nationwide League One.
