The New Year Mega Lottery Nigeria Nationwide League One (NYML/NLO) has officially extended its registration deadline and confirmed the kick-off date for the 2025 season.

In a statement signed by League Manager Tayo Egbaiyelo (MON), the league informed all state football associations, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and participating clubs of the adjustments.
The extension comes in response to registration challenges faced by several clubs due to the introduction of a new facial recognition technology. To allow affected teams adequate time to complete their registration, the league has pushed the deadline to Friday, April 11, 2025, after which the registration portal will be closed.
The 2025 season is set to officially kick off on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, with the opening match scheduled at the Bwari Township Stadium in Abuja.
This move brings clarity to clubs, players, and fans ahead of what is expected to be a thrilling and competitive season.
