Recognizing the growing importance of digital exposure for grassroots football, the Congress emphasized that broadcasting more matches would significantly benefit clubs and players.
The increased visibility would not only provide a wider platform for showcasing talent but also enhance the league’s marketability, attracting sponsors and scouts from across the globe.
The Congress acknowledged the positive strides already made in monitoring matches for compliance and reducing undue influences on officiating.
However, it insisted that broader live coverage would further improve transparency and help elevate the league’s status.
With matches set to be played in TV-friendly stadiums across Nigeria, the NLO Secretariat was urged to prioritize infrastructure that supports high-quality live broadcasts.
The Congress also encouraged clubs to embrace digital platforms to engage with their fans and stakeholders effectively.
This resolution aligns with the broader 10-year master plan of the NLO, which aims to expand the league, secure life after football for players, and make the league more profitable. The Congress reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging technology in advancing grassroots football in Nigeria.
