Popularly called ‘Shooting’, the technical director of Right Vision Choice FA, the youngest team in the 2022/23 NLO Division 2 campaign who are still in search of their first win of the season admitted that it’s tough especially when you have players who are very young playing in such competition as this.
“All these boys are underage and when you tell them to do something, they opt to do something else and there’s nothing we can do other than to encourage them,” he bemoaned in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng after the game.
“So now, we have to go and correct a lot of their mistakes because this is one of the youngest team in this league. We just want to give them exposure and experience,” he added.
“I love to focus on the kids and it has been my line of focus all along. I know how to get my way around with them and give them what they need when they are young. Even the one that made it to the national team, there’s a way by which I relate with them which makes it easy for me.”
“Not just football, their education is also part of it, they need to be all-round even as a footballer. Next season is not going to be like this,” Ahmed assured.
“Last season, I watched Lekki play in the NLO 1, this season they participated in the playoffs, that’s our own aim and objective next season, we will try as much as possible to qualify and play NLO 1,” he concluded.
