Following that woeful start, they have gone on to win five games in a row since that run, amassing fifteen points on the good form of results.
Speaking after thier latest 2-1 against TCCG FC in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng, Favor admitted that they should have done better but they lacked commitment at the beginning of the season.
“The magic is commitment, we realized that we needed to put more efforts in our games, we needed to step up and raise the tempo, come to the game as a final and we have gotten that,” he said of the team’s secret behind the good run.
“It feels fantastic to win and bad to lose. Now, we need to keep wining to hold on the momentum in next games, playing like champions that we are until the very end.”
On how he has grown his game in recent years;
“I watched a lot of defensive midfielders both homegrown and international players who have passed through the club and I knew that for me to stake a claim, I must do better than them.”
“A lot of young new players without experience have joined us who haven’t played the league and that’s one reason why we didn’t start well but we bounced back and reaction was good, by next season, we will do better,” Favor vowed.
