Coach Owolabi Mustapha, the proud tactician of Valiant FC, in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng, shared his mixed feelings following their impressive 6-0 victory against Zenith Emperor FC, becoming the first team to score the most goals in the NLO opening fixture.
“I am excited about the win but not impressed about the way we played,” shared Coach Mustapha.
“I know the capability of my boys, they played well but can do better if they want to keep their winning position.”
One of the youngest coaches in the NLO, he expressed his excitement with NLO’s development and its growth potential, highlighting how he and his colleagues are working together to develop young players – regardless of match results.
“It shows positive growth and older coaches, must carry younger ones along,” he stated.
He also remarked on how privileged he is to work with the management of Valiant FC that retained his services by believing and giving him maximum support even when they were at the bottom of the league.
He continued to promise more good football from him and his boys throughout the NLO season as they aim to remain at the top.
