Sports 247.ng caught up with the captain of Valiant FC, Sixtus Elegalam, after the team’s 6-0 victory in their opening match of the NLO 2022/2023 season against Zenith Emperor FC.

Sixtus was beaming with pride as he spoke to us about leading his team to victory. “It’s a great feeling! From the training ground to our coach who motivated us, coming out and giving our best on the pitch was amazing,” he told us.
When asked if there was a secret behind their outstanding performance, Sixtus said confidently: “Winning is the game – that’s the mentality that we’ve cultivated within the group and has taken us to the top.”
He also mentioned that seeing their former coach on their opponents’ side added an extra edge. “It was more like a nervy match for us, and it was our opportunity to prove that we can still win without him.”
Sixtus concluded by saying we should all expect plenty of wins from Valiant FC in upcoming matches too in the NLO 2022/2023!
