Jimoh Quadri ensured Magic Stars picked their first win of the season following his heroic display to make sure that they picked all maximum points in matchday five of the NLO 2022/2023 A1 group at the Surulere Legacy Pitch to hand Dannaz FC a bitter loss.
Magic Stars took the lead from the penalty spot few minutes into the first half only for them to give out a penalty themselves to Dannaz FC but was not converted after a forceful shot from Salaudeen Basit from the spot hit the crossbar.
Quadri, undoubtedly the man of the match added a second to cap his beautiful outing with a goal to seal all maximum points for his side in the latter stages of the game.
“I feel so happy, of course because this is my first goal in the league and also my team first win even if we have played three matches now, we haven’t been so clinical and this has cost us so much,” an excited Quadri admitted in his post match interview with Sports247.ng.
“We are looking forward to the next game as we hope to keep us this momentum, it’s really being a long time coming for us.”
On his model and ambitions in his career;
“I love Luka Modric and he’s someone I really look up to, he’s an all-around midfield maestro because to play at the top, you have to work hard and I will keep doing just that,” he vowed.
