Excellent FC survived a last gasp rally from Holy Arrow FC to snatch a 3-2 away win at the Oleh township Stadium on Wednesday in a Nigeria Nationwide League One Group E1 match week 4 fixture.
Holy Arrow FC were given a rude awakening when Ukoni Okocha gave the visitors the first half lead with a well struck goal.
Excellent FC couldn’t add to their lead before the interval, but after half time they opened up a three goal advantage in clinical circumstances with Andrew Odjomah and Brown Ochuko having their names on the scorers list.
The game still had plenty of life still in it, and the hosts soon who were not at their best for the better part of the game soon found their way back with two goals, setting up a grandstand finish.
But despite a tense finale, Excellent FC held on for the three points in another vital victory in the hunt for a top finish.
