CASE:
BLESSED TRINITY FC OGUN STATE VS ALMAR FC OGUN STATE
MATCH RESULT: 0-0 (MATCH AWARDED TO ALMAR FC 3 POINTS AND 3 GOALS)
The Almar Football Club filed an official protest against Blessed Trinity FC for fielding an ineligible player during their match played on Thursday 12th May 2022.
FINDINGS:
The Nationwide League One Secretariat in her findings discovered that;
The protest was filed before the commencement of the match according to the regulation
The NLO Secretariat in her findings discovered that Blessed Trinity FC Officials actually committed the offence by fielding an ineligible player (Dawodu Abiodun) during the match.
The NLO Secretariat got first-hand information on how the supporters of Blessed Trinity FC
encroached on the field of play immediately after the final whistle to assault the Referee (Mr Kolapo Opeyemi).
It is very unfortunate that the Referee (Mr Kolapo Opeyemi) refused to report this incident in his match report, this is totally unacceptable to the NLO Secretariat
because the unprofessional conduct of the Referee shows that he has the tendencies to compromise.
