“I really appreciate my teammates, they played very well, played with me and it was really amazing and I’m very happy for the goal I scored,” match-winner John Oyebamiji told Sports247 reporters after scoring what has his side Phil FC all three points against Liqui Moly FC.
Describing the goal the player said “it’s very incredible to me and I wasn’t really expecting to score then but I’m happy I did. I’m grateful to my teammates. Initially, I just wanted to hit the ball at once but after seeing the goalkeeper make a move, I decided to control the ball first and then the finish,” John said.
“I really hope and pray myself and my teammates go far in this competition and in our careers and end up playing for top clubs in Europe like Chelsea and Barcelona,” John concluded.
