Obi emphasizes the potential impact of securing even modest sponsorships, stating that any contribution is valuable for the clubs. Additionally, she outlines the league’s aspirations to secure TV broadcasts for matches, highlighting ongoing efforts in this direction.
“I don’t understand why our clubs will not look within their communities and see somebody who can support them,” Obi remarked.
She encourages clubs to seek front-of-the-shirt sponsors, emphasizing the positive impact even a modest contribution can have on the financial stability of the clubs. “Even if it’s 1 million the person gives you, it’s 1 million more than you had,” she added, underscoring the importance of community engagement for sustainable club development.
Turning her attention to the league’s future, Obi outlines a significant goal: getting NWFL matches on TV.
