The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod and former Director General of the defunct National Sports Commission, Malam Alhassan Yakmut both won awards at 2018 FCT SWAN Awards on Thursday in Abuja.
The award nite which was held after NTA defeated Peoples Daily newspaper 2-0 in the final of the 2018 FCT SWAN 5-aside football competition in Jahi, Abuja have other important personalities won different awards in different categories.
Nimrod won the Award for Sports Development in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) while Yakmut won Consistent Sports Administrator of The Year Award.
Publisher, Basic Sports in Nigeria (BSN Sports), Niyi Busari bagged 2018 FCT Best Online Sports Writer of The Year Award.
Michael Obasi, emerged The Best Sports Radio Presenter Award, AIT Camerawoman, Iorja Prisca won FCT Cameraman of the Year Award.
Also, gold medalist in the Table tennis Women Singles in the just concluded National Sports Festival, Ajoke Ojumu, won the Athlete of The Year Award, Segun Ogunjimi, is the best Print Sports Writer of The Year.
