The Chief Operating Officer of Nilayo Sports Management Limited (NSML), Mr. Ebidowei Oweifie has hailed the impact of sports friendly financial institution, Premium Trust Bank on Nigerian Athletics.
Mr. Oweifie was speaking against the backdrop of the partnership between the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), and Premium Trust Bank which has extended to the National Athletics trials currently ongoing in Benin, Edo State.
The event is part of plans by the AFN to make its final selection for the World Championship in Budapest, Hungary.
The C.O.O of Nilayo Sports Management Limited, made it known that the synergy and partnership between Premium Trust Bank and the AFN has in no small measure played a pivotal role in the obvious upsurge being witnessed in Nigerian Athletics at the moment.
He said “Since Premium Trust Bank joined the Athletics family in Nigeria, the support has been immensely tremendous, I commend their consistency and intention towards building and rebuilding Nigerian Athletics”
“I’m quite optimistic that the best is yet to be seen as far as this growth is concerned, we are on the rise, and with Premium Trust Bank still in the mix, Nigerian Athletics will continue to flourish”.
In September, 2022, Premium Trust Bank unveiled World Champion and Women’s 100m World record holder, Tobi Amusan and one of Nigeria’s most decorated athlete, Ese Brume who won Women’s Long Jump Gold Medal at the Commonwealth games as Brand Ambassadors.
Later in the year, the 21st Century financial institution will also be supporting the maiden Abuja Half Marathon
