Former Nigerian international, Finidi George has said that Nigerians and football fans expect more from the Gernot Rohr led Super Eagles.
The 1994 African Cup of Nations winner said this in an interview on the NSM rebranded platform where he also said it is not right to criticize another coach as a coach.
‘for me, there is a code, when you are a coach, it is not wise to criticize a coach, just like footballers do not rubbish one another, but I will say that he has had his time and Nigerians are expecting more form him’
Speaking on what is important at the youth football levels, Finidi said the important thing is getting players from that stage to play in the national team and for the boys to learn a lot in football.
‘For the youth team, it is to let them know what tactics, formation is. If they make me a coach, I will like to let the players know how to compete, how to win games, the U-17 we have won a few times, but the aim is to get players from the U-17 to the super Eagles’.
Finidi George won the Uefa Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the Copa del Rey and the Africa Cup of Nations during his footballing career.
