Highlighting their recent participation in tournaments such as the Croatia ranking series and the France Grand Prix earlier this year, Akuh emphasized that these events served as crucial preparations for the All-African Games.
Acknowledging the support and assistance from the Nigerian Wrestling Federation, Akuh credited the federation’s efforts in facilitating the team’s preparation.

“Our girls are doing well, and the federation has helped our preparation,” affirmed Akuh.
He further praised the efforts of Hon. Daniel Igali, the president of the Nigerian Wrestling Federation, for his contributions to the team’s training and readiness.
As the wrestling contingent gears up to defend their title at the African Games, Akuh expressed confidence in their ability to perform at their best.
With a strong team and comprehensive preparation, they are poised to meet the challenges ahead and return home victorious.
“We are confident enough that we are going to go back and defend our title,” concluded Akuh, reflecting the team’s determination to uphold their status as champions of African wrestling.
