Nkechi Obi, the Chairperson of the Nigerian Women Football League (NWFL), has extended her warm wishes to the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid al Fitr.
In her message, Obi stated, “It is time for celebrating the hope for answered prayers offered during the fasting. We look forward to a promising future for the NWFL Community in particular and the nation in general. Coincidentally, the Christian fasting period of Lent and the Ramadan fasting dovetailed into each other and we seized this opportunity to pray for a new dawn for the NWFL and the fulfilment of its potentials.”
Nkechi Obi sees the festival as a symbol of peace and unity for the women’s football community and a reflection of the spirit of togetherness embodied by Eid al Fitr.
Her message resonates with the values of the NWFL and the broader football community, emphasizing unity, peace, and the anticipation of a bright future for women’s football in Nigeria. As the NWFL continues to grow and evolve, Obi’s words serve as a beacon of hope and a call to action for the entire community.
