Nigerian stars Cynthia Onyedikachi, Yetunde Fajobi, and Chinaza Agoh played pivotal roles as ZED FC secured a dramatic 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Zamalek SC in the Egypt Women’s Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday.

The thrilling encounter ended in a 3-3 draw after regulation time. Onyedikachi, Malak Zidan, and Fajobi found the net for Zamalek SC, while Agoh bagged a brace alongside a goal from Joy Emad for ZED FC.
In the tense shootout, ZED FC held their nerve, winning 4-3 on penalties to book a semifinal clash against former Egyptian Women’s Premier League champions, Wadi Degla.
The second semifinal will see a high-stakes clash between Egypt’s top two women’s teams, as FC Masar takes on Al Ahly. The fixture will also feature an exciting Nigerian duel, with Charity Reuben (Al Ahly) facing off against Alice Ogebe (FC Masar).
