At just 16 years old, Daga has confirmed receiving offers from clubs such as AC Milan, Liverpool, Anderlecht, Watford, Club Brugge, and Midtjylland.
“Yeah, many clubs,” Daga confirmed when asked about the clubs interested in signing him. “Many clubs apart from AC Milan, Liverpool, Anderlecht. Many other clubs are looking for me – Watford, Club Brugge, and in Denmark, Midtjylland.”
In an interview, Daga acknowledged the interest from these clubs but emphasized that he is currently focused on finding the best environment to nurture his potential. He mentioned Victor Osimhen, who experienced rapid growth within two years, as an example he aspires to follow. “It’s true they are all looking for me. But I’m not yet at the point because I’m looking for where I can play. Because in two years, I’ll be playing at the top like Osimhen.”
Daga expressed his ambitious goals of playing for top clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United within the next five years. He aims to compete in prestigious competitions such as the Champions League and the FA Cup while also representing the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles.
He acknowledged the expectations of Nigerians and expressed his belief that he will eventually earn a place in the national team. “I want to see myself playing at Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd; play in the Champions League; play in the FA Cup, win the FA Cup, and win the Champions League in the next five years.”
“Because I have the belief, the confidence, and boldness that I’m going to be there in the next five years, and I’ll be playing in the Super Eagles.”
“I know Nigerians want to see me in Super Eagles, and I believe in myself to play in the national team. It may not be the time I’ll start playing yet, but I believe 100 per cent I’ll play for the Super Eagles soon.”
While Daga’s aspirations are high, it is important to note that negotiations and decisions regarding transfers are complex and can involve various factors. Ultimately, the outcome will depend on the negotiations between the clubs involved and the player’s personal preferences and development plans.
