Nigerian striker Victor Mbaoma has completed his move to Rwandan club APR FC, bidding farewell to Katsina United after a brief spell with the club.

Mbaoma’s arrival at Katsina United coincided with their participation in the NNL Playoffs, where he made an instant impact.
The talented forward played a crucial role in helping the Chanji Boys secure a second-place finish in the Northern Conference, thereby securing their return to the NPFL. Impressively, Mbaoma scored all of Katsina United’s goals in the playoffs, finding the net four times in just three appearances.
The 26-year-old striker has now signed a two-year contract with APR FC, a team currently competing in the CAF Champions League.
Mbaoma’s move to the Rwandan club comes with a monthly salary of around #2.7 million. APR FC is renowned as the reigning league champions and the most successful club in Rwandan football history.
Mbaoma’s journey in recent times has seen him shine for Enyimba in the NPFL22 season before venturing to USM Alger.
However, his time in North Africa did not yield the desired results, leading to a brief stint in Uzbekistan. Eventually, he found his way back to Katsina United. Despite attracting interest from several prominent Nigerian clubs, Mbaoma ultimately opted for a move to Rwanda.
With an impressive tally of 51 goals in his NPFL career, Victor Mbaoma could potentially face his former teams, Enyimba or Remo Stars, in the upcoming CAF Champions League season.
