Another injury for Nigeria’s AFCON contingents as Trabzonspor striker, Paul Ebere Onuachu (MON) got substituted in his side’s 1-0 win over Instanbul Basëksëhir in the Turkish Super Lig.
The 6ft 7 striker has now become the latest player on the list of Nigerian players injured after the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, following Zaidu Sanusi’s ACL, William Troost Ekong and Ola Aina’s injury, not forgetting Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho’s short spells out.

The striker on loan from Southampton of England started during his side’s victory but was substituted eight minutes after the hour mark after a collision and a suspected arm fracture.
The 29 year old has been instrumental for Trabzonspor, grabbing nine goals in 17 games, following his move, and will be a huge miss for his side.
Onuachu is expected to return to the side in the first week of April.
