Nigerian youngster Ibeh Jide has reflected on his debut season in Europe at Israeli Liga Leumit club Ramat HaSharon FC.
Jide joined Ramat HaSharon in October 2021 from Lagos based academy, Emmydinho FC.
The forward enjoyed a promising opening season at the club, debuting and scoring for the senior team while also helping the club’s youth side to a division title. Jide scored 17 goals in 26 matches to help Ramat HaSharon U19’s clinch the Isreali division 2 under 19 league.
“My duty is to score goals and I thank God and I’m happy to be able to score goals,” Jide told Sports247. “It is not an easy feat but I work hard every day. I want to make myself a solution when it comes to scoring whenever I’m on the pitch. I want to keep on working hard to improve my game and continue my development here.”
Jide also revealed his dreams of playing for the Nigerian national team. The 18-year-old is looking to achieve his goal of climbing through Nigeria’s youth teams, a dream he believes is attainable if he continues to put in the work.
“I want to continue to work hard to get that desired call up to the Nigerian U20 team. My dream is to play for Nigeria, my dream is to win trophies for Nigeria. I want to win awards for myself. I will keep working hard and make sure I don’t disappoint when I receive the opportunity.” he added.
