Nigerian Prodigy Ifeoluwa Olowoporoku Set To Join IFK Göteborg At 18

Nigerian football talent Ifeoluwa Olowoporoku, currently 16, has secured a future move to Swedish club IFK Göteborg, with plans for his transfer upon turning 18 in 2026.

The agreement was finalized with his current club, Tripple 44 Academy in Ibadan, Nigeria.

Olowoporoku, a versatile attacking midfielder, has been a standout in Nigerian youth football. At just 14, he was the youngest player in the Golden Eaglets squad for the 2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria, showcasing his exceptional talent on the international stage.

His impressive performances have attracted attention from top European clubs, including Real Betis in Spain.

However, IFK Göteborg has secured his commitment, anticipating his arrival in 2026 when he reaches the legal age to sign a professional contract in Sweden.

This move continues the trend of Nigerian talents making their mark in Swedish football, following the footsteps of players like Alhassan Yusuf, who joined IFK Göteborg in 2018.

Olowoporoku’s transition to IFK Göteborg is expected to further strengthen the club’s midfield options and provide him with a platform to develop his skills in European football.
