Following an impressive showing, 21-year-old Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka has signed a five-year contract extension with Danish club FC Midtjylland.
Onyeka’s strong work ethic, physical strength, and a positive attitude on and off the pitch have impressed his employers who have given him a long term extension.
”I continue to work hard, and my goal is to become a regular part of the starting line-up in the club,” Onyeka stated after signing the contract extension.
“It has been a sensible spring for me, so it is a good starting point for the coming years’ work.”
Onyeka has also transformed his game under manager Svend Graversen and the Danish gaffer sees him in his long term plans.
”We are talking about a player who, over several seasons, has developed very positively in our environment,” Graversen stated
“In the longer term, we see him as part of our central midfield, and we know he is a humble person who will work hard to achieve his goals.”
Onyeka joined Midtjylland in 2015 and has nine goals in 47 appearances for the team in all competitions.
