Nigerian midfielder Adekuoroye Bankole has completed a move to Slovakian Super Liga club MFK Zemplin Michalovce, signed a contract for two and half years with the Yellow-Blues until June 2023. Sports247 reports.
Bankole joins Michalovce after ending his three years association with fellow Slovak top tier club SKF Sered.
The defensive midfielder has spent all of his professional careers to date in Slovakia where he first moved to in 2016 with FK Spišská Nová Ves.
He transferred to Sered in January 2018 and helped them gained promotion to the Slovak top league at the end of the 2017-18 season. The 24-year-old made over 50 appearances for the club before his departure.
Bankole thanked his former employers for granting him his wish of transferring.
“I am very pleased that the management of the ŠKF Sereď club has complied with my request to end the cooperation,” he said.
“I would also like to thank them very much, I will have nice memories of my three years in Sered. I wish the club and my former teammates a lot of success.”
