The Nigerian Men’s Volleyball Team is set to commence rigorous training for the upcoming 2024 African Games Elimination, and the updated list of invited players and coaching staff reflects a blend of experience and emerging talent.
The team is gearing up for the 2024 African Games Qualifier scheduled to take place in Lagos on January 4th, 2024.

The players are scheduled to resume camp on December 26th, 2023, at Kaduna, marking the beginning of their intensive preparation for the 2024 African Games Qualifier.
The team’s setter position will be commanded by Bruno Ibe, Tobiloba Timileyin, and Elisha Anebi, showcasing a mix of seasoned players and promising talents ready to orchestrate the team’s offence.
Lucky Farouq, Afeez Mayowa, Cyril Iritabor, Emmanuel Udah, and Abdulaziz Aliyu will assume the role of outside hitters, bringing a diverse skill set to the team’s attacking options.
Vincent Mathias, Morris Dikiyai, Dauda Saje, and Anya Ifeanyichukwu will be responsible for the opposite position, adding versatility and firepower to the team’s offensive strategies.
Moses Gana, Victor Ezekiel, Uche Okereafor, and Phillip Akande will form the core of the middle blockers, contributing to both offensive and defensive aspects of the game.
Afun Idowu, Ismail Tiyaminu, and Sylvanus Zakariya will serve as liberos, showcasing defensive prowess and agility in their role.
The coaching staff includes Moses Baba-Musa as the Head Coach, supported by Assistant Coaches Taiwo Oladipupo and Tswuvini Yohanna. The coaching trio brings a wealth of experience to guide and shape the team’s performance.
