The Nigerian goalkeeper has concluded a transition to the French club in the wake of passing her medicals and signing the contract on Wednesday. French ladies’ top division side Paris FC have successfully verified the signing of Nigeria goalkeeper Chimaka Nnadozie on a one year and six months (18months) deal.
Her transfer to France closes Nnadozie’s long run deal with Nigerian League champions Rivers Angels after she formally passed her medicals and consented to individual terms of Paris FC on Wednesday.
If we recall vividly, Nnadozie was part of Nigeria’s team at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, where she came out to be the youngest goalkeeper to keep a clean-sheet in the tournament. She played in three matches, spectacularly against hosts France as the country made the Round of 16 for the first time in 20 years. The super keeper was also nominated for 2019 African Women’s Football Player of the Year and helped Nigeria win its first maiden Wafu Women’s Cup and a first African Games gold in 12 years in Morocco in 2019.
Nnadozie will become the second Nigerian female football currently playing in France after striker Desire Oparanozie with Guingamp.
