Nigerian FIFA licensed agent, Olawale Onipede has declared that Nigeria does not have proper developmental programmes for its football.
In a chat with Sports247, the licensed agent said before football can grown in the country, there has to be an active developmental programme.
“When the foundation is weakened, what can the righteous do. We don’t have good developmental programmes in Nigeria, the coaches take their own blame and the academies are not there anymore.”
” In Portugal, Sporting Lisbon for example, the development program start from age 5 with other categories of different ages, where the young boys are groomed”, he continued.
Olawale Onipede has football agencies based in Portugal, Egypt, Mozambique, Zambia, Mauritius and Nigeria.
