Former Sharks of Port Harcourt (now Rivers United) player, Finidi George has hinted that ex-internationals want to coach Nigerian Professional football league club sides.
Findi, who was a guest on NSM rebranded said if the conditions are good enough, he and some former super eagles players will coach in the NPFL clubs.
‘yh, actually it is not like we are not willing to coach any team in Nigeria. If I have to coach a team, I have to have the guarantee that salaries will be paid adequately, players are well taken care of, traveling conditions are okay, I don’t know if clubs are willing to do that, most of the clubs are government runned but if they can meet the conditions, we are willing’.
The former Nigerian winger said if the conditions are good then lots of ex players will consider a move
‘ everything has to be taken into consideration, if the atmosphere is conducive, the conditions are good, you will see lots of ex-players coming back’.
Finidi George played in the Nigerian league between 1989 and 1993 for Calabar Rovers, Iwuanyanwu Nationale (now Heartland FC of Owerri) and Sharks of Port Harcourt (now Rivers United).
