Nigerian Elizabeth Oshoba Extends Unbeatens Streak with a Knock Out Victory Over Agustina Marisa

Elizabeth Oshoba, Nigerian female boxer has defeated Agustina Marisa Belen Rojas, an Argentine opponent, at the Women’s Super-Featherweight Clash at Brentwood Center in the United Kingdom over the weekend.

Elizabeth Oshoba, who had not lost in seven fights prior, stopped Agustina in the third round of their six-round fight, advancing her record to 8-0-0 with five knockouts.

After defeating Michela Braga in Copenhagen, Denmark, Oshoba, a 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medallist, became the new WBC Women’s Silver and IBO Women’s International Featherweight Champion. This makes the 24-year-old the first Nigerian woman to win a major boxing title since Helen Joseph.

Last night was definitely one to remember. Following the bout, Oshoba expressed his excitement, saying, “Looking forward to the big fight 100%, on to the next.”

With her victory, Elizabeth Oshoba has set her sights against a possible fight with Australian WBC Women’s Featherweight Champion, Syke Nicholson, who is undefeated in ten fights.
