A renowned Nigerian ball juggler and freestyle football entertainer, Moses Amata has landed in Yaounde, Cameroon to prepare the ground for the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Amata, whose biggest outing with the Eagles was way back at France ’98 FIFA World Cup, said he is happy and honored to be part of Nigeria’s advance party at the upcoming competition tagged AFCON 2021.
His trip came well ahead of the Eagles’ expected arrival next Tuesday, January 5, but Amata said he is delighted with the opportunity to raise support for the three-time champions ahead of their arrival.
The long-standing ball entertainer, who has a track record of performances during halftime of Nigeria’s national matches and other events, expressed optimism that his efforts will help the Eagles get a fourth conquest of the continental soccer showpiece.
He is enthused that the aura he is feeling since his arrival in Cameroon shows that the Eagles will soar from their very first match of the impending tournament, when they battle seven-time winners, Egypt on January 11 in Garoua.
The dark-skinned ball juggler, who was last week in Abuja to seek an audience with sports minister, Chief Sunday Akinlabi Dare, took to social media to show his arrival in Yaounde and reveal some of the steps he has already taken to prepare the ground for the Eagles.
Amata posted: “I am mobilizing for Nigeria’s national team with my talent in Cameroon.
“These are my personal efforts in showing the spirit of love and dedication for my nation, Nigeria.
“I spend my personal money and give my personal strengths to bless Nigeria.
“I am seeing the ambassador to make plans for the Super Eagles before they come.”
