Her victory not only defended her 100m hurdles title but solidified her spot in the upcoming Games.

In addition to Amusan, middle-distance runner Edosie Ibadin achieved an Olympic qualification at the end of July. He set a new Nigerian record in the 800m with a remarkable time of 1:44.65, showcasing his readiness to compete on the world stage.

Another Nigerian athlete, Nathaniel Ezekiel, secured his place at the 2024 Olympics during the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.

Nathaniel’s outstanding performance saw him run the 400m hurdles in 48.47 seconds.

This will mark his debut at the Olympics, and he is eager to make an impact on the international stage.
