Bright Osayi-Samuel has been named Queen Park Rangers Young Player of the Year at the expense of fellow countrymen Ebere Eze and Aramide Oteh.
The Okija-born midfielder won the accolade after being nominated alongside five other youngster in The Hoops squad namely: Eze, Aramide, Ilias Chair, Osman Kakay and Paul Smyth.
The 21-year-old, who joined Rangers from Blackpool in 2017 was presented with the award before the start of Rangers 1-0 loss to visiting Nottingham Forest at the Loftus Road on Saturday.
“It’s really pleasing to win that and I am really grateful to the fans for voting for me,” he told www.qpr.co.uk
“I have to take that into next season and work on it. I feel next season is a big one for me. I want to get more goals and assists.”
Osayi-Samuel has made 29 appearances so far this season, scoring 3 goals.
Meanwhile, Eze’s sublime strike against Aston Villa on January 1, 2019 was shortlisted for the Goal of the Season, but lost out to Luke Freeman.
Queens Park Rangers who are 19th on the log with 48 points will travel to face Sheffield Wednesday in their last game of the season
