They dominated the first half, securing a comfortable 16-9 lead over Guadalupe.

Despite facing a tougher challenge in the second half, Nigeria dug deep and maintained their composure to secure the victory with a final score of 28-23.
Taiwo Babatunde was recognized as the most outstanding player of the match for her stellar performance.
Following this success, the team also secured a spot in the semi-finals of the IHF Women’s Trophy Intercontinental Phase with a commanding 29-14 victory over North Caledonia on Thursday.
