The Nigeria Women Handball National Team have arrived in Cameroon for the Africa Women Handball Championship.
The coach Rafiu Salami tutored side left the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport on Friday and arrived in Douala on Saturday after a stopover in Kigali aboard Rwanda Airline
On arrival, the Nigeria delegation led by the Secretary-General of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Alhaji Maigidansanma Mohammed were received by the Consulate General of the Nigeria High Commission in Douala Alhaji Safiu Olukayode Olaniyan and his amiable wife Hajia Medina Olaniyan.
The Consulate, who welcomed the team to Cameroon and hosted them, charged them to ensure they make Nigeria proud on and of the court.
He went further by saying Nigerians in Cameroon have been mobilized and are ready to give them all the necessary support to ensure they do well in the championship.
Afterward, the team traveled to Yaoundé and arrived at the Hotel Mont Febe.
Nigeria will begin hostilities in Group B as they play DR Congo on Tuesday, the opening day of the Championship before facing host Cameroon on Thursday and will play their last group game against Kenya next Saturday.
