Nigeria Volleyball Federation President Musa Nimrod Charts Vibrant Course For Involvement Of Sponsors

The president of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod has disclosed that a new and vibrant drive will be embarked upon to ensure that more corporate bodies join in sponsoring events of the spiking sport.

Aside from stating his determination to instil a frenetic drive for corporate sponsorship of volleyball activities in the country, the soft-spoken Kaduna-based technocrat added that there will also be a strong focus on grassroots and youth-centric endeavours.

Nimrod elucidated, “We are still going to look at grassroots development, because that aspect has helped us a lot. Today, we have under-15, under-17, under-19, under-20, and under-23 categories … apart from the senior team.”

He further enthused that the new administration in the Nigerian volleyball sector will step up efforts towards making already existing events better than they used to be, but admitted it would be easier to achieve once the executive committee can woo sponsors into the scheme of things.

“The Beach Volleyball Tour is going to be encouraged better. We will improve on the star and main tour. We believe that we are really going to work hard.

“Bearing all these targets in mind, more sponsors will be given opportunities to come in,” Nimrod reassured, with a twinkle of ecstatic anticipation in his eyes.
