Chairman Association Proprietor Football Academies of Nigeria, APFAN, Lagos chapter, Prince Tunde Alade says Super Eagles 10-0 victory over Sao Tome& Principe in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers played in Morocco recently would make some African countries respect the three-time African champions.
The Super Eagles claimed their second win of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against a very poor Sao Tome and Principe. Four goals from Victor Osimhen, two from Terem Moffi, then Moses Simon, Emmanuel Dennis, Peter Etebo, and Ademola Lookman added one each to complete the 10-0 bashing.
Alade in a chat with Sports247.ng said he remembered the good old days when the Super Eagles beat their opponents with a wide margin. He said beating Sao Tome and Principe is the beginning of good things to come in the Super Eagles.
“I am not only happy with the victory but I am also impressed with the performance of our guys who executed the game. The way they responded to the approach of the new coach showed that Eagles are back and they should continue in that direction so that the country would earn more respect among African countries,” he said.
Asked if Nigeria would be able to pick a sole ticket from their group, Alade quickly boasted that no country from the group can stop Nigeria Saying that only the Super Eagles can stop themselves from not qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations.
