“The preparation has been good, pressing, and productive in the sense that we are moving to a more sportive environment. We have a lot of facilities to make use of, and it’s very conducive for us. Less distraction and everything like that. We have a lot of time to do many things we need to execute our training program. So everything is working out fine for us,” he said.
Olowookere added that his squad has undergone rigorous training in techniques, tactics, and team blending. “We’ve done a lot of rigorous training regarding techniques, tactics and blending the team to perfection. Part of it was that we played a couple of friendly matches to test the team’s readiness. So the friendly matches’ response tells you we are in the right direction.”
The coach’s confidence in the camp’s progress comes as his young team prepares to face South Africa in a crucial doubleheader. With such a focused and well-equipped training environment, Olowookere believes the team is set to build momentum and further develop their skills in anticipation of future international challenges.
