The event, slated to unfold at the prestigious National Stadium in Lagos State, has garnered immense attention with a total of eleven teams expressing their eagerness to partake in the qualifiers.

ParaVolley Africa (PVA) revealed that the draw for the qualifiers is set to unfold on January 6, 2024, adding an extra layer of anticipation to the proceedings. Scheduled to span from January 29 to February 3, 2024, the qualifiers promise to be a riveting spectacle as teams vie for coveted spots in the Paris Paralympic Games.
President of ParaVolley Africa, Ehab Hassanein, underscored the significance of the event, stating that the draw for the Africa Sitting Volleyball Zone Championships would be conducted via Zoom at the FRMSPSH Headquarters in Rabat, Morocco, at 17:00 local time (GMT+1).
Hassanein further disclosed that a total of eleven teams have already affirmed their participation in the championship, with Nigeria set to compete in both the men’s and women’s categories.
The 2024 ParaVolley Africa Qualifiers will serve a dual purpose, also operating as the 2024 Africa Sitting Volleyball Zone Championships.
Teams from across the continent, including powerhouses like Egypt, Morocco, Libya, and Kenya, are set to clash in a fierce competition to secure their berths for the pinnacle event in Paris.
This championship marks the first of the two remaining Paralympic Games qualifiers in the 2024 World ParaVolley calendar, with the final opportunity for qualification set to unfold in Dali, China, from April 3rd to 10th.
