Nigeria has set a target of double glory in male and female categories of this year’s Nigeria’s FIBA 3×3 Africa Cup in Lomé, Togo.
Sports247.ng reports that the men’s team is captained by Azouma Dike, who is joined by three of his teammates from Kano Pillars, Abdul Yahaya, Lucky Subel and Godwin David.
The female team has Nkechi Akashili, Nkem Uwa Akaraiwe, Grace Okonkwo and Ijeh Fumnaya Linda, while the coach is Acha Chris.
The delegation was led to Togo on Thursday by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Basketball Association, Frank Jituboh.
The men will aim to defend their title which they won in 2017 while the women, who lost to Mali in last year’s final, will hope to win the title.
Points will be gathered from the competition to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics where 3×3 basketball will make a historic debut.
