Nigeria players union, the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers (NANPF), has announced the appointment of Sunshine Stars FC captain, Sunday Abe, who also doubles as Ondo State Chapter Chairman of the union, as the Assistant National Coordinator of Club Captains Forum of the union.
In the letter of appointment signed by the union’s General Secretary, Comrade Austin Popo, it stated that Abe’s appointment was hinged on his meritorious services to the union’s causes and activities over the years.
Remarkably, too, Sunday Abe who is still actively a player and captain of top NPFL team, Sunshine Stars, remains the only State Chapter Chairman active footballer given such prestigious appointment.
