Nigerian international Alex Iwobi was in action for Arsenal in their 2 – 1 win against Huddersfield Town in the English Premier League on Saturday. The Super Eagles winger put the London Gunners in front in the 16th minute of the encounter and could have gotten more in the one-sided encounter.
Iwobi has now scored a total of three goals and gathered five assists for the Gunners this season in 23 league appearances.

With the draw, Middlesbrough remains 5th on the log as they continue their promotion push with seven points behind the leaders Leeds United with a game in hand.
Nigerian star Semi Ajayi was in action for championship side Rotherham United in a 1 – 1 draw against Wigan Athletic on Saturday. The Super Eagles player was deployed in the defensive midfield position in front of the back four and was instrumental in his team’s performance. Rotherham is currently 21st on the championship log and in danger of a drop to the lower division.
Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo was on for 90 minutes but was unable to help his championship team Stoke City salvage any point as they lost at home to West Bromwich Albion at the Bet365 stadium. Dwight Gayle scored the only goal of the encounter in the 25th minute and they held on for the win.
In Italy the Nigerian duo of Sadiq Umar and Kingsley Michael were in action for Perugia in their 2 – 1 home loss to Palermo in the Italian Serie B on Saturday.
